COVID 19 Pro-rated Refunds
Important Information about your Room and Board Charges
Brandon University will be pro-rating individual refunds due to the mandatory move out.
Because of the nature of a declining balance food plan, each refund will be calculated individually.
AFTER you have checked-out of your room:
If applicable, a refund cheque will be mailed out, as soon as possible. (Please be patient with us as we work through this process, all 10 business days for us to have the cheque sent out)

ROOM REFUNDS
REFUNDS PER DAY WILL BE ISSUED (BASED ON ROOM, HALL & OCCUPANCY TYPE):
DATES USED TO CALCULATE REFUND WILL BE:
1) THE CHECK OUT DATE AS COMPLETED BY STUDENT UPON DEPARTURE (via google doc checkout form)
2) TO CONTRACT END DATE (BU – April 23rd, 2020) (ACC – May 2nd, 2020)
BOARD
REFUNDS PER DAY WILL BE ISSUED (BASED ON MEAL PLAN TYPE & INDIVIDUAL SPEND)
DATES USED TO CALCULATE REFUND WILL BE:
1. BU Premium– Daily Refund will be calculated from CHECKOUT DATE TO April 23, 2020
(Daily Premium Rate = $18.01)
Plus, depending on your individual meal card balance, you may be entitled for any unused premium dollars refundable over the January 1 to March 13 period, to a maximum of $460.70
2. BU Value– Daily Refund will be calculated from CHECKOUT DATE TO April 23, 2020
(Daily Value Rate = $15.76)
3. ACC – Daily Refund will be calculated from CHECKOUT DATE TO May 2, 2020
(ACC Daily Rate = $14.13) In ALL cases, the amount of the Meal Plan refund will depend on the individual balance remaining on your card and the type of Meal Plan you purchased. Individual usage will be reviewed for the class suspension time from March 13-20th and board will be refunded if applicable.
